Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

ReadMeter ("the Service") is operated by PusTechnologies. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

ReadMeter is a development-time tool designed to help Firebase developers monitor, analyze, and optimize Firestore read operations. The Service provides visibility into Firestore read patterns and rough estimates based on local development sessions.

Important: ReadMeter provides estimates and insights for development purposes only. Actual production behavior and billing may differ from the estimates provided by the Service.

3. License Grant

3.1 One-Time License

Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use ReadMeter for development purposes in accordance with these Terms.

3.2 One Device per License — Non-Transferable

Each license binds permanently to the first device on which it is activated. The license cannot be transferred to another machine, even after deactivation. You may not share, lend, or give your license key to anyone else. Use of the same license key on another device is prohibited and may result in revocation of your license. Each purchaser must obtain their own license.

3.3 License Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Redistribute, sublicense, or sell the Service
• Share, lend, or transfer your license key to another person or device
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

4. Payment Terms

ReadMeter is sold as a one-time license purchase through Gumroad (gumroad.com), our authorized payment provider. By making a purchase, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete payment information
• Authorize Gumroad to charge your payment method
• Pay all applicable fees and taxes

All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect purchases already completed.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your license and account information
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• Using the Service only in your development environment
• Understanding that ReadMeter provides estimates, not guarantees of actual Firestore costs

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected
• The Service's estimates will match actual Firestore billing

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PUSTECHNOLOGIES, READMETER, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PusTechnologies, ReadMeter, and their affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by PusTechnologies and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

If you receive a refund, your license is automatically terminated, and you must cease all use of the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [Your Jurisdiction].

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
